I've recently made a pact with myself to expand my vocal style and improve my technique, and in the process, I have been studying various vocal artists. One of those artists I am studying, and with whom I have become completely enamored, is Ella Fitzgerald.
Growing up, I had heard various "old" tunes that she was noted for, and of course, Louis Armstrong always came to mind when her name Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0Loveland, CO, USA40.3977612 -105.074980140.2043077 -105.3977036 40.591214699999995 -104.75225660000001tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2529335931983255184.post-7951346884588284542015-02-25T15:39:00.000-07:002015-02-26T18:41:45.926-07:00Singers: Dusty SpringfieldI was listening to some old Dusty Springfield today, (not that there is any really new Dusty Springfield) I'm talking back in the 60s. I tried to compare some female singers today with Dusty and simply came up short. The man could and still can "bring it".
It was my ninth birthday and my father bought "gold" tickets to see Tom Jones at the War Memorial Theater in Rochester, N.Y. We were maybe ten or eleven rows back from the stage and I was sooooo excited to see him. I was too young to understand or care about all the panty throwing and Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
